GESE 2026
Founders Brief

Parador de Carmona · Sevilla · 27 to 30 October

What you need to know before confirming

01 Why this GESE matters

GESE returns this October at a moment when our industry is facing an unusual degree of uncertainty. Companies, business models, technologies and leadership roles are changing simultaneously. Many of the assumptions on which we have built businesses and careers can no longer be taken for granted.

In that environment, being able to step away from the immediate pressure, compare perspectives with people you trust and strengthen relationships across the industry becomes particularly valuable.

But GESE 2026 is not yet a given.

Whether we move forward this October will depend on the commitment of a sufficient number of people from our community who believe this is a gathering worth making happen.

Those people will be the Founders.

At uncertain moments, relationships become infrastructure.

02 The Founders

Becoming a Founder is more than confirming your attendance early. It is a decision to help make GESE 2026 possible.
Rather than committing to the full cost and complexity of producing the Summit first and then trying to fill the room, this year we are starting with the community.

If a sufficient core group commits, we go ahead. If it does not, we don’t.   Joining the Founders is a small act of leadership: a decision that this community, these conversations and the opportunity to spend meaningful time together are worth preserving.

Because the Founders make the Summit possible, they should also have a meaningful voice in shaping what comes next.

Who should be in the room

Once the Founders group is established, we will ask for your perspective on the people and voices that would add most value this year. Final invitation decisions will remain curated, but the Founders will help us identify who is missing from the room.

How we should spend our time together

We will involve the Founders in the evolution of the format: the questions that deserve structured discussion, what works better through smaller exchanges, and how we can use the different settings and experiences of Andalusia to create better conversations.

How we open the next circle

The Founders will also help us decide the conditions under which we invite the next group of participants, including the participation fee for those joining after the Founders window.

The people willing to commit first should have a voice in how the community grows from there.

Private

Invitation-only participation with a deliberately limited number of attendees.

Trusted

Conversations take place under the Chatham House Rule, encouraging openness, confidentiality and honest dialogue.

Strategic

Discussions focus on long-term transformation, emerging trends and the future of interactive entertainment.

Conected

A carefully curated international community where meaningful relationships, collaboration and strategic opportunities extend far beyond the Summit.

Experience the culture.
Broaden your perspective.

The 2026 edition will take place at the historic Parador de Turismo de Carmona, in the heart of Andalusia. Throughout the summit, participants will also enjoy a series of curated cultural experiences across Seville and Córdoba.

Rooted in Europe and increasingly connected with strategic leaders, investors and innovators from other regions, GESE creates new opportunities for dialogue across ecosystems and explores the future of interactive entertainment from a broader international perspective.

From the timeless heritage of Seville to the rich legacy of Córdoba, discover the spirit of Andalusia through exclusive cultural experiences.

Confidential, candid, and deeply human, these ongoing exchanges are what give GESE its true substance. A living conversation that moves ideas, relationships, and the industry itself forward.

Explore how to engage with the community shaping the next chapter of Europe’s digital entertainment across the different sections of this website.

Founded on the conviction that meaningful progress requires time, distance, and perspective, GESE gathers its community once a year for a focused moment of reflection. To step back from the immediacy of business, to examine the transformations shaping our industry, and to imagine the paths ahead.

The dialogue that begins at the annual summit does not end when the meeting closes.  It continues throughout the year, sustained by a community that remains connected, curious, and engaged.

Following three chapters that have quietly but decisively shaped a new space for long-term thinking in Europe’s creative and technological industries, the Games Executive Summit Europe is preparing its 2026 edition. The forum has grown into a trusted community of leaders committed to reflection, dialogue and collective foresight, and the next gathering will continue to deepen this mission.

As GESE evolves, so does its ambition to connect with the places across Europe where culture, creativity and innovation are driving new possibilities. The 2026 edition will be an opportunity to consolidate the vision refined in Tenerife, Nerja and Asturias, and to bring this work into a setting that shares the Summit’s values: a place that understands the importance of nurturing ideas, hosting dialogue and contributing to Europe’s cultural and economic future.

While the final location is yet to be announced, GESE is exploring interest from European ecosystems that see in the Summit an opportunity to engage with a network of influential entrepreneurs, creators, investors and policymakers. GESE 2026 represents a chance for a host city or region to align with a project that is already recognised as a unique think tank shaping the future of digital entertainment in Europe.

Institutions or ecosystems interested in learning more about hosting the 2026 edition are invited to reach out in confidence. GESE maintains an open, collaborative approach and welcomes conversations with partners who share its long-term vision and commitment to Europe’s creative industries.

The next chapter is beginning to take shape. We look forward to discovering where it will unfold.

GESE is invite only. For those interested in participating, we encourage you to connect with a GESE member and ask for a direct recommendation.
