Previous Editions of GESE
Since its inception, the Games Executive Summit Europe (GESE) has grown into one of the most influential think tanks for leaders in digital entertainment. Each edition has deepened its strategic reach, strengthened the network of participants, and reaffirmed the value of thoughtful, cross-sector dialogue in shaping the future of the industry.
Tenerife 2022 – The Beginning of a New Conversation

The inaugural edition of GESE took place in Tenerife, bringing together a pioneering group of executives, creators, and policymakers to launch a new kind of forum—one focused not on promotion, but on reflection, trust, and long-term strategy.
In this first encounter, participants identified the need for a European space for collective thinking, free from the pressures of public performance and designed to provoke real strategic dialogue. The foundations of the GESE format—confidentiality, facilitated discussion, and participant-driven agendas—were born here.

Nerja-Málaga 2024 – Expanding the Horizon

Held in the coastal town of Nerja, near Málaga, the second edition of GESE marked a moment of consolidation. The group expanded to include a wider array of international leaders and began to explore cross-sector synergies with industries such as film, animation, and immersive media.
Key themes included the role of artificial intelligence in creative production, the importance of sustainability in entertainment, and the need for a unified European voice in global digital policy. The edition also laid the groundwork for long-term initiatives, including early conversations around the creation of a European Academy for Digital Entertainment.

London 2025 – A Global Outlook

As a prelude to the next full summit, GESE convened a special strategic session in London with a curated group of European and international leaders. The goal was to refine the key themes to be addressed at the Asturias edition and to broaden the influence of GESE in the global creative economy.
The London session affirmed GESE’s ambition to act as a bridge between sectors, disciplines, and geographies, and highlighted the increasing relevance of its network in shaping the future of entertainment policy, innovation, and investment.
Together, these editions have established GESE not only as a space for dialogue, but as a platform for leadership and long-term industry transformation.
